This is shaping to be an exciting 2016! In April I will be performing on two graduate student recitals at University of Colorado Boulder. The first concert with Leslee Smucker will feature Canoni per violino e violoncello (1946) by Giorgio Federico Ghedini, a piece that is not widely know, but should be.
The second recital with Stephen Bott will feature LIgNEouS 1 for Marimba and String Quartet by Andy Akiho. This awesome piece, written a few years ago features some creative extended techniques and rhythms as the piece unfolds. I can't wait to play both these recitals
In May I have been asked to perform Vivaldi's Double Concerto with Dave Campbell at Chicago Symphony Hall for the Western Springs School of Talent Education and Naperville Suzuki School's 35th anniversary gala. This huge honor will be even more satisfying because I will be performing with longtime friend Dave Campbell and get to see my first teacher, Sally Gross again. I can't wait.
In the meantime I will performing with Stratus Chamber Orchestra this week at Fairview High School in Boulder at the Denver Art Museum in April.
Summer plans are forthcoming. Stay tuned!
